The material created demonstrates excellent use in many technical skills and fulfils the project requirements of creating a thriller opening. The material captured is appropriate for the genre and target audience as we witness a male antagonist enter his home from a graveyard, only to see he has numerous scattered bodies in his house. The antagonist and anti-hero are both represented will via costume, hair and make-up which highlights the characters personalities and intentions. The titles are well selected and follow the trend of ‘New Line Cinema’ where they are subtle and feature on the action (where appropriate). The sound is chilling and mysterious, as well as being edited excellently with the images, and increases in tempo at key moments. The shooting material, especially the last 30 seconds are captured excellently with a good variety of shots, framing and camera movement. Mise en scene creates meaning and an excellent response from the viewer. The editing is subtle, and steers away from complex effects and transitions, however this strongly adds to audience meaning and response created. All edits are edited well to the sound and continuity editing apparent. Excellent production.
